U.S. Involvement

We met Linda Gable on a short flight from Dallas to North Carolina in March of this year. During the flight, Linda witnessed to us and captivated us with her stories detailing the works that were taking place in Nicaragua. The Spirit of God was so present during that flight that we were literally disappointed when it was time to land.

Following our meeting with our new friend, we began to pray and seek guidance from God on how we could play a role in God's work in foreign ministry. Repeatedly the following weeks, we replayed the exciting news of our meeting with Linda with anyone who would listen. We quickly knew that God seated us next to Linda on that flight so he could form a kingdom connection between us for his works.

In that regard, we are elated to have the opportunity to serve the Lord, with Linda and Tom Gable's direction, by helping to meet specific needs in Nicaragua. First at hand, God directed us to send a love offering of clothing and baking items to Nicaragua, and to continue to play a role in assuring that similar needs are met in the future. We are also committed to assisting with building a baseball field and establishing a baseball program wherein the youth can be inspired and driven to succeed, while learning to appreciate team participation and a sense of community involvement.

To God be the glory! We are currently in the process of gathering new and used baseball equipment, and raising support for the baseball program. We will be conducting a lock-in fund raiser at our indoor batting and skating center in East Texas the first Saturday in June. All donations and proceeds will go directly to the baseball program in Nicaragua. God willing, Randall plans to go to Nicaragua in the later part of the summer to work on the baseball fields and conduct a baseball training camp. We look forward to seeing what else God will have Randall doing over there!

We praise God for the opportunities he has placed before us from a source least likely. We treasure our new friend and look forward to playing an active role in God's work together.
